So tomorrow is orientation. I have to be there just before 8 and sit through the obligatory "Welcome to ACME Anvils, Inc."
"What will my office look like?"
The expression "back to square one" has never meant more than it does to me now. I can't imagine how long it's going to take for me to build my "street cred" with people. After fourteen years in my old company I knew most everyone I passed in the hallway. Starting tomorrow, people will be asking me "Can I help you? Are you looking for someone?"
"Do I need to bring my own pens and paper tomorrow or will some be provided?"
Hey, I am not the first person to start a new job. This happens every day. It will be great. I just need to learn people's names. That is a biggie for me.
"What if I make a smelly in the bathroom? I better hold it for a while......"
Day 1 starts in a few hours. Stay tuned.
